At Sands of Luce, we take enormous pride in what we do. We aim to provide the ultimate holiday experience for our guests. This has been quite a challenge to set ourselves! It has involved massive investment and inevitably some blood, plenty of sweat and the odd tear. Has it been worth it? We think so but more importantly, it appears our guests and the park inspectors agree!
Sands of Luce Holiday Park recently received a site inspection by the AA who grade caravan parks across Scotland and Britain. They are industry leaders have been in the game for as long as the existence of caravans. They know their stuff! We always greatly value their feedback and always get butterflies in our tummies when they report back to us (Imagine an episode of Master Chef with Raymond Blanc Jnr giving feedback on an aspiring chefs attempt of a Cheese Soufflé). It is stressful! The results can make or break you!
Anyway, the results of the site grading left us feeling really rather chuffed. Below, you can read the inspectors report. We hope it gives you confidence in booking your next holiday with us. Also, be sure to check the many independent customer reviews available through Facebook, Pitchup, Google and our website.
Sands of Luce Holiday Park is located alongside a gorgeous, tranquil beach that stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions around Luce Bay. It is perfectly sited to explore this often overlooked, but magical part of Galloway, with its idyllic countryside, abundant wildlife and lovely small coastal villages to explore.
A significant investment in recent years has meant the complete transformation of the Lighthouse Bar that houses the smart, modern reception and the truly excellent bar and restaurant. This season sees the opening of the fully refurbished Amenity Block with modern, top class toilets and a new laundry room the key features.
The park has expanded with the creation of a well-landscaped area for hired static caravans. The ten that are in place enjoy the same stunning view over Luce Bay that the excellent hardstanding touring pitches enjoy.
The move of the laundry into the refurbished Amenity Block has opened the door for future redevelopment of this area and planning for that has commenced.
Jack and Amy clearly have a vision for Sands of Luce Holiday Park being the best it can be and have clearly moved a long way towards realisation. They are fortunate in having very good staff and family members who share their enthusiasm for this wonderful site and this clearly manifests itself in the fantastic quality of this site, not just the new facilities, but just as importantly in the excellent, very well maintained hard and soft landscaping throughout.
Quality Score of 90% – Gold standard.
Whoop! Thank you, AA!
