![]() Sands of Luce Holiday Park makes for the
ideal base from which to explore our beautiful area. To the south of our
park we have the Mull of Galloway. This is Scotland's most southerly
point, with 300 foot high cliffs offering views of Ireland, the Isle of
Man, England and Scotland. There is an award winning eco-cafe there too,
with stunning cliff top views. The local village of Sandhead (an easy stroll along the beach) has an Internet Cafe, Bowling, Tigh Na Mara Hotel, Tennis Court, Tea Room and a large village green. There are also plenty of places to wine and dine locally, Portpatrick, for example, and there is the Colfin Smokehouse for those who want to sample award winning local smoked produce. The BBC TV series "2000
Acres of Sky" was filmed in and around the Rhins of Galloway - nearby Port
Logan was the fictional 'island' of Ronansay, whilst Portpatrick stood in
for 'the mainland. The award winning Logan Botanic Garden is about 4 miles
away from our park, and includes multi-language interpretation, cafe,
plant sales and more. Or for the more energetic, why not try a day's sea angling for Tope with
local skipper
