Scotland is the home to beautiful scenery, including wild beaches, gleaming lochs and breath-taking lakes. Home to key landmarks, Scotland contains many hidden gems that you’ll have the opportunity to visit when staying at our holiday park in Galloway.
The South West Coastal 300
Appreciate the striking scenery of the Scottish coastline along this road trip of a lifetime, with the circular route exploring plenty of sandy beaches, rugged cliff tops and charming villages along the way.
What Is SWC300?
This popular road trip takes you through miles of coastline, showing you a wide array of hidden gems that lay in Scotland. With Sands of Luce based on the SWC300 route, come and take a look at the stunning sights from our holiday park!
Galloway Forest Park
From exploring the rolling Galloway glens (deep, narrow valleys) to making your way up the hills, there’s plenty to explore right here. With three cafes for visitors to enjoy, plenty of wildlife and rich history throughout, you’ll be fortunate enough to see loch, mountain and starry night sky views from this park. Offering a mixture of walking, hiking and bike riding tracks, this forest park is a memorable experience.
The Merrick
Alternatively, you can also climb The Merrick, the highest summit in Southern Scotland. The route from Loch Trool is the easiest way up, to be able to take a panoramic picture that includes both the Galloway forest and Northern Ireland, as well as the Isle of Man.
Luce Bay
If you’re a beach lover, then you’ll be taken aback by the breath-taking sights of the golden sands across Luce Bay! What’s more, you’ll get to wake up to these incredible sights from the inside of your window of your caravan. Spacious touring pitches, beachside bliss and five star touring facilities? You just can’t miss this!
Can you swim in Luce Bay?
Whilst the sun is blazing, why not jump into your swimming costume and take a dip into the sea?
Popular for swimmers, the sea at Luce Bay sees thousands of tourists and visitors alike every year! A haven for all kinds of watersport activities, including kitesurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking, you’ll have plenty of activities to get stuck into here.
