Let Us Entertain You With Our Events at Sands of Luce Holiday Park!
With summer sitting on our doorstep our local festival scene is returning to Luce Bay and our on-site Bar & Restaurant “The Lighthouse” will be THE stage for some of our most popular local artists as well as for promising newcomers from the area and international musicians.
If a little challenge with friends is what you’re looking for, then we dare you to take part in one of our beloved pub quizzes.
Our host, although from english heritage, knows only too well how to fry your brain with questions about the hidden treasures of knowledge, whether it’s about scotland or the rest of the world.
Every second friday the winning team takes home the prize, while all participants have a chance to crack the jackpot of the week.

Number 7
Lorna McColm
A beloved local farmers daugther and musician by heart, Lorna McColm got inspired by her dad’s and brother’s interest in guitars. Once she picked it up herself, she started strumming away and has been playing and singing since. Self taught, some of her inspiration comes from artists like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, though it’s not a secret her passion lies in country songs. (Sat, 07.05.2022, 8 pm)

Angela Black
Also well known in the area as herself being from Stranraer, Angela Black’s musical career started at the gentle age of 12 years when gaining interest in playing the guitar. She quickly progressed into singing, writing and harmonica playing. Nowadays you find her regulary performing at events across the region, her lighthearted mix of folk and pop with a few covers thrown in for good measure is surely a delight for acoustic music lovers. Soon (Sat, 14.05.2022, 8 pm / Sun, 05.06.2022, 3-6 pm) you’ll get the chance to be entertained by Angela and her talented friends Gerry Byres and Callum Black, foot stomping, hip shaking and harmonies included.

Eclipse
Eclipse, a three piece band lead by the couple Ged and Lyzzy Molyneux from Sandhead, promises good entertainment with music starting from the 80’s up to modern hits. (Sat, 21.05.2022, 8 pm)

MAD - Mick & Dave
You might already had the chance to meet Dave against the Machine, starring Dave Cowles, a local musician living near Newton Stewart. This time he’s gonna perform as a duo with his friend Mick, also known from the Stranraer Park Fest 2021. Together MAD is covering light rock, country and pop songs from the last 60 years. If you’re a fan of Glen Campbell, the Rolling Stones, John Denver, Pulp, The Cure or The Kaiser Chiefs definitely don’t miss out on the show.

Acoustica
Fancy acoustic versions of classic rock songs with a few folkier tracks and the odd soul number thrown in? Then strap yourself in for Acoustica (Sat, 04.06.2022, 8 pm), where Ged sings and plays acoustic guitar, cajon and harmonica while Derek plays acoustic guitar, 12 string guitar, bouzouki and mandolin, plus a bit of backing vocals. Their focus lies on stripping things back to the essence of music, hence why most of their songs are just one voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar.

Cherry Red 53
How about a night filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks and rocking tunes that require a wee bit of shaking off? Then join us for Cherry Red ’53‘s rocking act (Sat, 11.06.2022, 8 pm), focusing on rock’n roll and rockabilly, the four artists with well known numbers from Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Stray Cats or Bryan Adams will challenge your ability to not start tapping your foot to the beat.

Stacey Joy
Originally from Northern California, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning songwriter Stacey Joy found her way to the South Rhins and even better to our on-site Lighthouse Bar & Restaurant (Sat, 18.06.2022, 8 pm). With her musical style – a sultry mix of blues, jazz, country, folk and Americana – her amazing voice and authentic songs she did not only win the hearts of her audience, but also the award for Best Americana at the New Mexico Music Awards in 2017 with her debut album “The Journey Unfolds”. Currently working on her third studio album, we’re looking forward to welcome this young, emerging talent at Sands of Luce.
